In a resort where the linked area runs to 300 km, that walk buys you a position on the main street instead of on a piste, and for most people that is the better trade.

The spa is the part worth booking for. It occupies the ground floor and contains an indoor pool, sauna, hammam and jacuzzi, and access is free to guests rather than charged nightly. Four separate sources agree on that, including the operator that brands and runs the hotel, which matters because a daily spa supplement of EUR 20 to 40 is common at this level. Treatments are billed on top. The opening hours are the one thing no second source will confirm, so plan around the facility rather than a schedule.

The rooms are 31 across six floors, and most, though not all, have a balcony over the resort. The recurring caution is the street: reviewers describe noise from the bars and clubs below running to around 04:00 in front-facing rooms. The other request that appears more than once is oddly specific and worth copying — ask not to be placed beneath a room with a wooden floor.

Two costs sit outside the headline rate. Parking is EUR 25 per night, stated by two independent sources, and the taxe de séjour is EUR 2.86 per person per night, payable at checkout. The larger point is how this hotel is sold at all: it does not appear on Booking.com, and its own domain no longer resolves to a website. In practice it is distributed as a half-board package by UK tour operators, which is why the terms you are quoted are usually theirs rather than the hotel's. Price it against what an equivalent Val d'Isère room costs booked directly before assuming the package is good value.

Request: A room away from the main street, and ask not to be placed under a room with a wooden floor — that specific request comes up in reviews and the hotel has both carpeted and hard floors. Most rooms have a balcony over the resort, but not all do, so make it explicit if you want one.

Avoid: Front-facing rooms if you are a light sleeper. Reviewers describe noise from the bar and club trade on the street below carrying to around 04:00, and it is the one complaint that recurs about an otherwise well-regarded hotel.
